‘P-Valley’ Star Tyler Lepley Talks About His Sexuality and That of Tyler Perry

Tyler Lepley gained a legion of new fans when he came to the role of Diamond on the famous new drama series Starz, P-Valley. However, fans will recognize him earlier from his role as Benjamin “Benny” Young in the long-running drama series Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots. Recently, Lepley spoke out about people questioning his sexuality as well as Perry’s sexuality.

Tyler Lepley appears in Starz’s strip club drama series, ‘P-Valley’

P-Valley opens the story in a Southern city after two mysterious people, Andre Watkins and Autumn Night, arrive and post a series of events that will haunt the people of Chucalissa, Mississippi for some time.

The official summary of the series from the network reads:

Deep down in the Mississippi Delta there is an oasis of grit and glitter in a rough patch of being human where beauty can be hard to find. This hour-long fried drama tells the kaleidoscopic story of a small-strip-capable club and the big characters who come through its doors – the hopeful, the lost, the broken , the ballers, the beautiful and the damned. Trap music meets film noir in this lyrical and atmospheric series that desires to ask what happens when the villagers dream outside the confines of the Piggly Wiggly and the pawnshop.

The series stars Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton, Elarica Johnson, Skyler Joy, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Parker Sawyers, Harriet D. Foy, Dan J. Johnson and Lepley.

The actor also explained that the rumors had happened to him again P-Valley when he took pictures with Nicolson, who plays close gay rapper Lil Murda.

He explained, “I had done something while on the set P-Valley, maybe I was with Clifford [Nicco Annan] or I think I was taking a picture with Alphonse playing Little Murda, and people started with the gay thing again. I think if you have a place that people can’t figure out, they can just judge. ”

P-Valley was updated for a second season at Starz, but it is not known when it will begin to produce due to the effects of pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. The Haves and the Have Nots’ last season is currently on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
