McCallum says Ducky and Gibbs have a strong connection. They think together and connect on many levels. Perhaps this is why they work so well together.

“There is a strong intellectual connection between them,” McCallum said in an interview with Insider Tbh. “In the NCIS family, Gibbs is the father figure for the sometimes disorganized team; Ducky is a clever uncle to whom he can turn for advice. Harmon says Ducky is Gibbs’ “peer and friend”.

A look inside Gibbs psychology

according to Insider Tbh, we see the lives of Gibbs and Ducky at the stage when they reach a fork in the road. Ducky decides to step away from medicine and Gibbs tries to figure out if he should recommend it to his girlfriend Shannon at the time (she will be his wife, but she is killed, along with their daughter). NCIS Executive Producer Steven D. Binder says Gibbs and Ducky are “helping each other find their life paths. ”

Who exactly is Leroy Jethro Gibbs and what made him look like he is today? Binder says viewers will see a little of what Gibbs created into who he is.

“Gibbs is someone who has a relationship problem and not the most social of people,” Binder said Insider Tbh. “That’s where Ducky comes in. We get into a lot of Gibbs psychology. ”

As we see a lot of Gibbs psychology, we wonder if that means that Gibbs’ therapist Dr. Grace Confalone (Laura San Giacomo) will appear at some point during the season seo. Grace helped Gibbs process his feelings about the death of his wife and daughter. She also helped to process his feelings of guilt after he killed the man who killed them.

Dr. Grace is introduced first NCIS Season 13, Episode 16 (titled “Canose Loose”). Dr. Cyril Taft (Gibbs surgeon) is having coffee at Gibbs’ house. While playing a game of chess, Cyril mentions a leg of thought that Gibbs should see a healer. Gibbs agrees, but Cyril reminds him that he was killed and appears to be suffering from trauma.

Cyril praises his physician, Dr. Grace Confalone. Cyril says he talks about Gibbs in his sessions and feels that Gibbs and Dr. Grace would get along well. He then arranges an appointment between Dr. Grace and Gibbs at a dinner and they decide to start treatment.

Gibbs has been under a lot of pressure

At the end NCIS Season 16, we see Gibbs struggling with his decision to avenge the murder of his wife and daughter. Grace comes to the rescue by handing him a soundboard and challenging him to see why he is making certain decisions. We want to see how Gibbs continues to grow and change with the help of Dr. Grace.
