Sheen realized he could not hold the queen’s award if he was at the same time pushing Wales to make the distance from England. “In my research to make that speech, I learned a lot about the history of Wales,” Sheen told USA Today. “I remember sitting there saying, ‘Well I have a choice: I will not either give this speech and hold my OBE or I will give this speech and i need to get my OBE back. ‘”
So Sheen returned his OBE and gave his talk on Welsh culture. And his interest in Welsh politics and activity seems to be only rising.
