But at the same time, there has been a lot of drama, most notably the shooting incident in which Tory Lanez was involved. Fortunately, however, she has a supportive group of friends and peers to follow along. The “Don’t Stop” rapper opened up about her year in a new interview, incorporating the advice she received from Beyoncé and Jay-Z among all.
Megan Thee Stallion captured the events of 2020 in a new interview
Megan Thee Stallion spoke about this year ‘s events in a GQ interview published on November 16th. She first explained the incident with Tory Lanez, which happened in the wee hours of July 12 when they were leaving a party in the Hollywood Hills.
Megan Thee Stallion recalled a “brewing” argument in their car and how she tried to distance herself by stepping out and calling for another ride. But she was asked to get in again after her phone died, she said.
As the conversation continued, she tried to get out of the car again, and at that point Tory Lanez reportedly started firing at her legs, she said.
After she went public with her allegations in the summer, her account was controversial, including Tory Lanez. The news also sparked motivations, jokes, and memes, as GQ said, prompting Megan Thee Stallion to speak out on Twitter.
She shared a tweet in July that partly said, “It might be funny to talk on the internet and just another deceptive topic you can talk about but this is my real life and i really hurt and polluted it. ”
Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship with the couple goes back to the 2019-2020 holiday season
Megan Thee Stallion established a relationship with the couple at the top of the year when she went to a New Year’s party, which was recorded on social media.
“That was legit the first time I met Beyoncé,” she told Ebro Darden in an interview in May (via Variety). “And, my God, we danced all night – I was in there, cutting it. I was like, ‘Wow, Beyonce is accepting my turn up! She loves ‘Ratchet Megs’ and I love it! “
She and the Lemonade The singer went on to collaborate on the remix “Savage”, releasing the song in April with great success. After that, Beyoncé reportedly started contacting her further, she said Entertainment tonight. The singer specifically gifted Megan Thee Stallion when song No. 1 hit the Billboard Hot 100 and sent her a gift when she recovered from injuries that occurred in the July incident.
The private celebrity couple have yet to comment on their relationship with the rapper, but it’s nice to see the support they’ve been offering her.
