When you think of Mark Hamill, two words come to mind: Luke Skywalker. The part that starred Hamill as the Jedi Knight was included Star Wars, but more recently, he is equally famous for some of his other careers as well.
The only difference is that now, most of the work that Hamill does is with his voice instead of his body. Let’s take a closer look at Hamill’s many voice acting roles, including one famous evil doll.
The role that made Mark Hamill famous
Hamill undoubtedly became a household name when George Lucas cast him as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movie series. Hamill starred in 1977 Star Wars: New Hope. The main character was the entire original Star Wars trilogy, playing Luke while fans watched him evolve from a farm boy on Tatooine to a Jedi who saved the galaxy.
Hamill did not run as the character to the end with the original films, however. He came back for the 2015’s blink-and-you-miss-it cameo The force is waking up before becoming one of the highlights of 2017 The Last Jedi.
Hamill’s last film scene came as Luke in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, in which the departed Luke appears as the ghost of the Force to give much-needed advice to Rey during a major appearance in the film.
While most Star Wars fans thought Hamill had been made in the post, he put it back in motion in a move that surprised everyone. He appeared in the season two finals of Am Mandalorian (with help from CGI).
Mark Hamill has another famous role
Hamill is very popular as an actor, but he has also carved a unique image for himself as a voice actor. While most actors are lucky to have one iconic place in their career, Hamill’s voice acting has given him two.
Hamill may be famous for playing Luke, but there is another role on which he makes sense: archnemesis Batman, the Joker. Hamill never showed Prince Crime Clown in live action, but introduced the character’s voice Batman: The animated series.
His performance soon became famous, to the point where he was asked to return to the voice of Joker in several other Batman animated films and TV shows.
Of course, the acting of Hamill’s voice has not stopped at the Joker. He has even provided the voice of another comic book character: Wolverine of the X-Men for video game.
Mark Hamill’s evil doll and other amazing voice acting roles
In an interview with The AV Club, Hamill talked about why he enjoys performing in voice acting roles: he can take more chances.
“Animation is about mystery…. If they don’t see you, you’re free to make far more powerful choices than you would if you were on camera. And there’s a certain satisfaction – not just because I was a comic book fan – that it turned out so well, but it was so diametrically opposed to what I had been famous for, and this was this distinctive feature. ”
according to The Ringer, one amazing part that Hamill found himself playing is the evil doll Chucky in the 2019 remake of the iconic horror character. This is one of many amazing roles in which Hamill resembles a chameleon, including:
- The ground guard jumps on Cartoon Network Regular presentation (According to Lively times)
- Firelord Ozai air The last Airbender
- Like both Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi on a program of Family Guy
As well as Hamill as Luke, he has made an even bigger name for himself in the second act of his career as a voice talent.
