In Arngrim’s memory, she remembers the time when Anderson threatened to physically injure her. Apparently, there should have been a scene between Mary and Nellie that involved physical change. But because of Anderson’s threats to “hit him hard”, the producers intervened and had to remove the fight scene from the show.

Arngrim describes the events of the autobiography:

“Melissa (Anderson) and I in makeup were getting ready for the scene, and we started‘ trash talking, ’as a couple of TV guards threatened their opponents. Melissa Sue turned to me and said, ‘I really hit you, you know. ‘She wasn’t smiling, and it looked like she could be threatening me. So I kindly replied: ‘That’s okay because when I pull your hair, I’m going to tear it out with the roots. ‘And then I took a good look at her and smiled. ”

It turns out, someone behind the scenes had heard the “trash talk” and decided to block the fight scene by putting it off. It was just too dangerous.

“I got the impression that someone might have called down on the walkie-talkie and warned them about our ‘little cat’,” says Arngrim in his autobiography. “The director had come up with the idea. Melissa now just wanted to give me a simple slap, and I would leave. There would be no fight scene. Melissa looked so pissy that she missed the opportunity. ”
