‘Little House on the Prairie’: Melissa Gilbert Had a Feeling Michael Landon Was Having an Affair Well Before the News Broke but No One Believed Her

From the moment Melissa Gilbert met Michael Landon at her lab Toilet on the Moor, she was drawn to him. Working together as a daughter and father over the years, actress Laura Ingalls began to look up to Landon as if he were the real “Pa.” When she realized he had something to do with it, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. And no one else did either.

When Melissa Gilbert realized that Michael Landon had a relationship

Gilbert didn’t start to figure out that Landon was cheating on his wife (Lynn’s aunt) on the set Toilet on the Moor. She was really ready The Miracle Worker, for which she played the part of Helen Keller. It was behind the affairs of the TV film that Gilbert first realized that Landon and Cindy Clerico had a relationship of some sort.

“Mike had become very friendly with a new fan of the show, a very young blonde named Cindy Clerico,” Gilbert wrote in his memoir, Prairie story. “I first noticed her when I was doing The Miracle Worker when Mike visited the set one day and said hello to her before he did it to me. “

The only thing anyone ever told Gilbert about how they handled the situation was: “don’t talk about Mike in front of Aunt Lynn, and don’t mention Aunt Lynn or my mother in front of Mike . ”

At work, Gilbert supported Landon. But, at home, she sided with Auntie Lynn.

Landon moved out of his family home and bought a house in Malibu. He was also less and less involved Toilet. He was involved in fewer incidents and less leadership. In the end, Gilbert felt like she had lost the “Pa.”
