Shelton was a guest again Kelly Clarkson Show on 16 October. She asked him about his first performance, which he said was when he was in a trance.

“My mother used to send me in, I don’t remember who the first one was, I remember doing those things,” he said. Shelton said his mother did it because of the child’s talent ratio, but that he still had to dress for sections as an evening wear.

“You’re so ******,” he told Clarkson. “Yes, yes, I did those things. I remember both things being special, I did ‘Old Time Rock & Roll’ with Bob Seger, and I did ‘Cat Scratch Fever’ with Ted Nugent, which didn’t go down well with the soccer moms in the audience because, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard that song or what it’s about, but you can think, I think. ”

The guest also gave a talk show as he earned the nickname “Break Dance Blake.” He said he took one break dance lesson to get the nickname. “Relaxing dancing was great, not yet in Ada, Oklahoma,” he explained.

Obviously, Shelton was not going to be an expert at break dancing. But it looks like the pageants eventually paid off.
