Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have such amazing chemistry in movies that one of their smoky kisses won them an award for best liplock. Reeves said he counted his kiss with Bullock as one of the “most memorable” parts of making The lake house.
Keanu Reeves called Sandra Bullock’s kiss ‘memorable’
During an interview while they were promoting their film The lake house, Reeves and Bullock were asked what it was like to work together again after playing together Astar.
“It was really exciting to work again … I have a lot of confidence and comfort, which is good to get into something and it was inspiring,” Reeves explained.
When the interviewer asked Reeves, “Is there a day on the set that was most comfortable for you ?,” he had one main scene of filming that stood out.
“I’ve said it before but I really enjoyed it – it was the first and second days where we worked together,” he said, adding that it was “the dance series.” The actor said, “… and then the first kind of kiss, that was the most memorable movie day for me.”

It wasn’t just a memorable film time for Reeves, as he and Bullock won the Teen Choice Award for “Choice Liplock” in 2006.
In accepting the grand surfboard award, those in the audience hoped the two would recreate the big kiss. Bullock found a way to get out of it, however, saying she couldn’t because she was married.
“It’s a bit bitter,” she said in their speech. “You say, ‘Do it again. ‘But I’m a married woman now. It’s true. You have to understand… kisses that are really hot… and very warm and tight, so I can’t do it now. ”
She continued, “I can’t do them because I’m married and they only go to my husband. I am married now. You don’t do that when you’re married. ”
Keanu asked her, “Sandy? Weren’t you married when we kissed that? ”Bullock told him,“ I’m in such big trouble right now. ”
The two fled without a kiss, thanking the crowd and leaving the stage.
Reeves and Bullock admitted that they were under pressure from each other
Bullock admitted she was under pressure from her co-star when they did Astar, tells Ellen DeGeneres in a 2018 interview how she felt about it then.
It turns out that Reeves had feelings for Bullock as well. In a 2019 interview with DeGeneres, the show’s guest gave a speech to the excerpt of a Bullock interview where she admitted to being crushed.
“Of course she didn’t know I was under a lot of pressure on her, either,” Reeves explained after watching Bullock admit to crushing her.
As to why they never set a date, Reeves said they were professionals. “We were working!” He said, saying, “It was good to go to work. She’s an amazing man, such an amazing actress. ”
