Keanu Reeves Once Called Himself ‘Dumb’ Despite All His Success in Hollywood

Many actors in their 50s can’t say they’ve never been better. But with the permission of a loving action film and a reputation as an “internet lover,” things are looking for Keanu Reeves. Today, the actor is an icon in his own right. But even when the biggest payroll took off in the early 2000s, Reeves still saw himself as “dumb.”

Keanu Reeves struggled early in his career to avoid typing

When Reeves moved from Toronto to Los Angeles, his good nature and slacker beast led Hollywood to offer him the same roles. Despite serving as the actor’s progressive film, Bill and Ted’s brilliant adventure it made matters even worse. After that 1989 sci-fi comedy and his 1991 series, Reeves feared it would be interpreted by Ted “Theodore” Logan.

Of course, this was not true. Same year as Tus and Ted ‘s Bogus Tour, Reeves has launched an action film opposite Patrick Swayze Break point. A few years later, Astar reaffirming his status as a bonafide action hero. And his role as Neo in the 1999 game-changer Am Matrix completely changed his career, elevating Reeves to a new level of reputation in the industry.

Nevertheless, Keanu Reeves took on a new role in the late 2010s

No matter how he felt then, Reeves seems to have made his career even bigger in recent years. In the late 2000s and early 2010s he found it difficult to get involved. But then in 2014’s John of Wick, he discovered what could end up as the most popular character ever. Reeves has already repeated the space for two sets, with two more in the works.

In 2019, he landed the biggest box office of his career with a support role there Toy Story 4. And Reeves returned to the roots for Bill and Ted Face the Music. Plus, it’s ready for Neo to play again. For the first time in nearly 20 years, Reeves is collaborating with director Lana Wachowski and co-star Carrie-Anne Moss in Am Matrix 4, set for December 2021 notification.
