Former lawyer and lawyer Johnny Depp, Adam Waldman has been using Twitter to show that not only did Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard give up her $ 7 million divorce settlement to a charity but that she was also telling lies about donating $ 3.5 million to the ACLU.
Depp has been charged by Heard for holding the $ 7 million divorce settlement. She initially said she donated it to Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and the ACLU, Daily mail reports. Waldman represented Depp throughout his divorce trial. But he was taken out of his legal team when that judge found Walman confidential information released for the press.
Waldman’s Twitter went dark when he was fired in October. But recently he began tweeting daily about the alleged $ 7 million donation, sharing reports from the settlement.
Donations fall short
Documents shared by the Daily Mail point to Heard donating just about $ 100,000 to the ACLU, quite short of the $ 3.5 million. The organizations that were entitled to the grants did not report. However, Heard’s lawyer spoke to the Daily Mail.
Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Charlson Bredehoft, did not provide any information on the amounts already awarded to each group. But she said Heard would “finally” make the $ 7 million in donations. She then added that the reason Heard delayed her donation was because of Depp’s reason for spending millions of dollars to defend herself against “false accusations” in the reputation case.
It is too reported that Heard claimed she had given up the $ 7 million divorce settlement in November 2018, saying she “wanted nothing. Waldman then shared a series of articles about the settlement, asking fans if this was a true story.
“PR coverage from ACLU and CHLA 4 years ago,” he said tweet. “But did Ms Heard give ACLU $ 3.5 million from divorce to help other women stay safe and free? ‘Did Ms Heard give the Children’s Hospital a $ 3.5 million divorce to’ support life-saving treatments for really bad children? ‘ ”
