Garner had some fun with her Pretend cooking demonstration, featuring the comfort food recipe from Taste of Home called Oatmeal Oh-So-good.
- 3 cups water
- 2 medium thirsty apples, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- Salann dash
- 1/4 cup packaged brown sugar (I use 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- Maple syrup and / or milk of your choice, optional
Garner shared the very simple instructions for making fruit oatmeal. The actress starts the video at her stove, as she explains, “I let you in on a little secret – this is my favorite winter oatmeal. ”
She pours the water into a pot and heats it to a boil. At the same time, the actor peels the apples (and offers the peels to any catchers), peels the fruit, then takes a taste from the heart, and adds the ingredients to measuring cup.
Garner add the apples, oats, and salt to the boiling water, cook and stir the mixture for five minutes, then add the vanilla and cinnamon, stirring to mix . She spoons it in a bowl, adds the almonds and notes how you can add syrup or milk.
“You can’t do it better,” she said as she grabbed.

Many starters on Garner’s Instagram post noted that they did the recipe and gave it high marks. “This is the best oatmeal I have ever had! Thanks for sharing, ”wrote one fan.
Another fan had an amazing venue idea. “Falling by saying that I do this all the time, but this morning I replaced a cup of fresh apple rye with a cup of water and took this recipe up to the Next level,” they said. .
On the Taste of Home recipe page, beginners recommended oatmeal and gave some suggestions, such as adding blueberries and walnuts, dried cranberries, and using Granny Smith apples for a more tart taste. Many agreed with Garner using less brown sugar as the ¼ cup was a little too tasty for some people.
