Fans have been watching actress Jennifer Garner celebrate her love for cooking for the past three years. With three children to feed, Garner has picked up everything from homemade bagels to pizza and lemon chicken in her kitchen.
However, one of her favorite things is to use a decadent chocolate leaf cake that she uses to celebrate her entire family. While the recipe looks pretty complicated at first, it looks worthwhile than the delicious chocolate flavors in the end.

The Peppermint actor she started Cooking demonstration unfolds in 2017 and has been going strong with many recipes and delights ever since. However, she has no real plans for a full cooking show.
“I like to do three or four minute drafts in my pajamas… but no, that’s so far away,” Garner said at a time Facebook live video, “I have no plans for a regular cookery demonstration.”

Garner always gives credit to the chefs who come up with her favorite recipes. On her Pretend cooking demonstration, she shared what she’s in love with The Pioneer Woman’s chocolate leaf cake recipe.
The Alias Alum said this is her family’s chocolate leaf cake recipe for all the celebrations.
The best chocolate leaf cake ever ingredients:
3 3/4 holding butter, salted
1 cup water
8 tablespoons of cocoa powder
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
6 tablespoons milk
Powdered sugar 1 lb.
Pecan 1/2 cup (optional)

To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Next, boil a cup of water and at the same time melt two sticks of regular butter in a saucepan. Add four tablespoons of cocoa powder to the melted butter, mixing thoroughly. After that, pour the preservative water into the butter / cocoa mixture, letting it bubble for 30 seconds before turning off the heat and setting it aside.
Next, in a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Place the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients by stirring just enough to cool the chocolate.
In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 beaten eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Add this buttermilk mixture to the chocolate / flour mixture and stir well. Press the batter onto a non-frozen baking sheet or jelly roll pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20 minutes.
For the icing, melt 1 3/4 sticks of regular butter. Then add 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder and stir together. Let bubble for 30 seconds and then turn off the heat. Stir in 6 tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Finally, add 1 lb. powdered sugar, or for a taste. Stir together.
Put the icing on the cold cake and enjoy.
