Jeezy says Gucci Mane refused to send Verzuz

Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Nov. 9, Jeezy said he had actually tried to fight Gucci Mane after Swizz Beats talked to him about the Verzuz show.

“Swizz called me and I was like, ‘If I do [Verzuz], there is only one person with whom I would do it. ‘It was like,’ Who? ‘ I was like ‘Gucci.’ Go out to him, let me know what’s up, ”he said.

“I did that,” he continued. “I reached out, Swizz hit back and said he was honored. Cool. Done. I kept moving, I was off doing it for the culture. We could have done it for the culture. ”

It’s incomprehensible, but a battle with Jeezy would have been huge. As many know, they were once co-workers, coming together in 2005 for the hymn “Icy. ”But they were falling out for the rights of the songs, all Complex.

As a result of the fallout several diss tracks were turned over and even turned to death in 2005 when Gucci Mane fatally shot one of Jeezy’s companions alleged robbery. But after more than a decade, Jeezy opened the door to a possible settlement TI’s Quickly podcast.

“I just feel like we need one of those mafia talks, a back room,” he told the show in July. “What I’ve learned over the years is like this [is] big business. People who went to Yale still do business with people who went to Harvard. So it’s just one of those convos [that needs to happen]. It’s been decades. ”

But on the bright side, Jeezy is still doing Verzuz battle

Jeezy said The Breakfast Club after learning Gucci Mane declined his invitation, he took to social media and saw that TI had challenged him instead. “I connected the phone, three minutes later, that’s when I saw my brother [T.I.’s] video shouting at me, ”he said.

After some funny ban on social media, he agreed to set Verzuz with the other trap rapper. The two are ready to fight out on November 19th.
