Jada Pinkett Smith Admits She Cheated in High School and ‘Wasn’t Even Supposed To Graduate’

Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she was cheating on Will Smith along with August Alsina, but that was not the only time she cheated. In high school, the 49-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, made his way to graduation by cheating and plagiarism.

Jada Pinkett Smith went to art school in Baltimore because of her grandmother

It’s no secret that Jada went to school with the late rapper Tupac Shakur at the Baltimore School of Art. Am Matrix star told Vibe in 1994 that she was related to her character Lauren An Inkwell because of how she grew up.

“Lauren was familiar too because my Jamaican grandmother raised me in a middle-class background before she died,” she told Vibe.

Jada’s mother, Adrienne Norris Banfield, became pregnant with her in high school, so Jada’s grandmother helped raise her. Marion Banfield sensed her granddaughter’s interest in the arts and enrolled in piano lessons, tap dancing, and ballet.

“She taught me that I could achieve anything I want to achieve,” Jada said People about the late Banfield. “Grandma wanted her grandchildren to have all the experiences they could have – ballet, tap dancing, piano lessons, gymnastics. She never wanted us to think we were poor. ”

Smith was selling drugs and cheating through high school

Although she fought hard for a place in the high school of public art, Jada found it difficult to get through, sell drugs, and deceive friends.

Tiffany Haddish explained how she committed plagiarism and how she slipped her way through school. The actor’s teachers did not know that she could not read to tenth grade; she hid the truth by copying the work of other students. Jada revealed that she and Haddish had a very similar experience.

“I’m listening to you, and I feel like I’ve done the same,” Jada replies Haddish. “I shouldn’t even have graduated from high school. It was literally a gift, my high school diploma. Your confidence was a little stronger than mine because I went to art school. I had a little more mercy. ”

When Smith was 19, she moved to Los Angeles, California. She only spent one year at the North Carolina School of Art but tried to get a job as a broadcaster In vivid color. She said her credentials for the role helped with dance routines for a high school play.

Although the actress did not get the job, she contacted a surrogate and in 1991 she started playing as Lena James. A different world.
