Is This ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Retiring Soon?

Cheryl Burke has been competing Dancing with the stars for a long time. Now, thanks to a recent interview, some fans are of the opinion that Burke may be dropping off his ballroom dance shoes sooner rather than later.

Cheryl Burke has a long history of ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Burke has been competing Dancing with the stars from the second season of the show. When Burke ‘s contract went up in season 19, she decided to take a break from competing. Soon enough, Burke returned to the ballroom for season 23. She then took season 24 off, but returned again for season 25. She competes with Backstreet Boy AJ McLean during DWTS Season 29.

Cheryl Burke could soon retire from DWTS

Burke has suffered multiple injuries throughout his life – including a head injury earlier in the season. Nevertheless, she has continued on the dance floor. However, Burke admitted to toying with thoughts of retirement.

“My bumps are not lying down, and I’m starting to get tendonitis,” the Mirror Ball Contest said twice on the Birds in the Office podcast. “For women, as long as ballroom dancing goes competitive, usually in their 30s [they retire]. “As a 36-year-old competitive dancer, Burke feels it may be time to hang up his dancing shoes.

In addition to her age, Burke does not want her abilities as a broadcaster to continue.

“I don’t want to be like that old man like, ‘Oh, here comes Cheryl doing the same dance, just going slow but in her head, she thinks she’s go so fast, ”said Burke. “I don’t want to be a dancer and my partner has to be like, ‘I can’t lift. ‘There is a time and place for everything. ”

Cheryl Burke would like to judge ‘Dancing With the Stars’ one day

As a seasonal dance dancer, Burke would make a significant contribution to the judging panel Dancing with the stars.

“It would be great for me to just use my mouth and not my body,” she said on the podcast. Burke thinks her experience would greatly welcome the thoughts of Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.

“Four judges?” she asked. “It’s great! Just give us every five seconds. ”

Cheryl Burke also wants to start her own family

Burke has been married to actor Matthew Lawrence since May 2019. If she were to retire Dancing with the stars, a child on Burke’s to-do list.

“I definitely want to be a mother,” Burke said Weekly Us in September 2018. “I don’t know about this dance world.” At the time, Burke was unsure about raising his child in the world of dance music.

“There’s a lot of pressure, and they have to grow up too fast,” she said. “That’s what I did. I don’t want them to grow fast – I want them to stay as children forever. Whether or not she still feels that way remains unclear.
