Before becoming famous with songs such as “Big Ole Freak,” “Cash Sh * t,” and “Hot Girl Summer,” Megan attended classes at A&M Prairie University in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Megan went to Prairie to study healthcare administration but was still pursuing her rap career when she didn’t physically go to school.
Megan said People that watching her family work hard while she was growing up created the work ethic she has today. Megan said her mum and grandmother catered for her “every day,” and she never showed Megan when they went through hard times. ”
“I’ve seen everyone in my life be independent,” said Megan. “My dad died when I was 15, so my mum was still going to take care of us. If we were going through financial difficulties, my mother and I both [maternal] grandmothers always made sure I didn’t know. We could have been sad, but they made it work. I’ve always seen strong women get work done, so I always wanted the women in my family to have that same driver. I know I get a lot of my strength from my mother and grandmothers. “
