Ina Garten loves to cook. It’s how she became a famous chef and a guest at it Contessa barefooted. She is the author of a dozen cookbooks and counting but there is one food that she loves to cook more than the rest.
Thanksgiving is Barefoot Contessa’s favorite holiday
Turkey day earns the top spot in Garten’s book in terms of holidays. It’s no surprise to think that she’s a well-known chef who loves to cook for lovers and hold dinner parties at her home in East Hampton, New York.
As Garten explained Vogue in 2016, she loves Thanksgiving Day because the food is the main event.
“It’s my favorite holiday of the year because it’s all about the food,” she said with a smile. “You’re inviting your best friends, your closest family members – it’s a great time.”
The 72-year-old has a soft spot for Thanksgiving but the holidays aren’t the only one where her cooking skills are shining. Garten has plenty of festive recipes. One of her flagship cakes that appears regularly on social media – sometimes from celebrity Barefoot Contessa fans – comes the fourth of July.
