Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got a little closer to marriage. The pair, whose romance began on the set of The Voice, announced their engagement in October 2020. No marriage date was set immediately. Stefani was reportedly awaiting an official response from the Catholic Church regarding annulment before moving forward with plans. She is reportedly on that response now, and her favorite marriage plans can move on.

In 2015, Stefani filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage. Stefani and her husband, Gavin Rossdale, had been together for several years before tying the knot in 2002. The breakdown of their relationship took many of the entertainment world by surprise. What happened next was a little more horrible. After joining Shelton, Stefani formally sought annulment, a process through the Catholic Church that will take years.

according to Iris Us, S.tefani was desperate for her marriage to Shelton to be recognized by the church, as religion is important to her. Stefani, however, realized that nullification was a long shot. Not all applications will be implemented, and, in many cases, the process can take several years. According to reports, a tribunal recently met regarding the application and has given Stefani zero. Now she is free to marry Shelton in any way she wishes.

Stefani and Rossdale parted ways with false accusations

Stefani and Rossdale’s separation was not friendly. The couple wasn’t just “growing apart.” ”Stefani reportedly found out that her 13-year-old husband was cheating on her with a baby nanny. In a long and candid interview with Bazaar Harper, Stefani admitted that she had her first months on the set of The Voice hell with her personal life falling apart behind the scenes. She said she spent seven or eight months trying to find out what was going on inside the home.

Rossdale has described the end of his marriage to Stefani as the most shameful moment of his life. In an interview with The Keeper, Rossdale suggested that the story was “lopsided.” Either way, he and Stefani have moved on. They are reportedly committed to co-parenting their three children. That doesn’t mean Stefani wanted the shadow of her previous marriage hanging over her head as she moved on, however.

So, when will the pair tie the knot? They are keeping a close eye on the plans, but someone inside said Vanity Fair that the most likely wedding would be in 2021. The date will depend on when the government lifts social distance guidelines. Although no date has been officially set, it has been reported that a place has been chosen. The pair are reportedly planning a wedding in Oklahoma, on Shelton ranch land. The messenger, who has not been named, says Shelton has a chapel built on the building just for the event.
