Guy Fieri is known for his attractive look and spiky hair as a Food Network host Diners, Drive-Ins, and divers. But of course Fieri has some bad kitchen skills. Fieri won The next food network star, a reality TV show finds the next big chef at Food Network.
These days, Fieri is mostly famous Triple D., but it has several classic recipes – including macaroni and Mac Daddy cheese.
Guy Fieri was once hosting his own cookery show
Fieri has loved food since he was a child. His first one-of-a-kind dish was steak, which he cooked for his parents after telling his mother he didn’t want the eggplant parm she was making. He earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and while he doesn’t have a formal culinary degree, he gained experience through working in the restaurant industry.
After winning The next food network star, Fieri received six episodes of his own culinary show – and finished running for 10 years. Although not as popular as Triple D., the exhibition, called Big Guy Bite, let Fieri clarify some of his own recipes rather than recipes of chefs across the country. The show was filmed in Fieri’s outdoor kitchen in California, and while it doesn’t look like new programs have yet been filmed, fans can catch reruns of the show from time to time.
It’s hard to resist Fieri Mac Daddy’s macaroni and cheese
Fieri has a number of signature recipes, but it’s hard to resist a big dish of mac and cheese. Courtesy of Food Network, Fieri Mac Daddy ‘s son and cheese is just the ticket. Although the ingredient list is a bit long, everything can be purchased at the local grocery store. And those who want to make the dish may already have several things.
2 sota, peeled
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon of olive oil
3 pieces of bacon, diced, cooked, preserve 1 tablespoon of bacon fat
2 tablespoons flour
4 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 cup of Pepper Jack cheese cut down
2 cups chopped Cheddar cheese
Salt and fresh ground black pepper
Pasta pen 1 pound, boil
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
Preheat the oven to 350. Place garlic and sauté in a small foil bag; pour with olive oil and roast for about 25 minutes or until tender; then knock. Reheat preserved bacon fat over medium heat in a large sauté pan, then add shallot and garlic, and sauté for one minute. Add flour; combine for one minute. Then, whisk in thyme and heavy cream. Let the sauce reduce by a third.
Add cheese and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and add pasta, stirring gently. Add mac and cheese to a 9 × 13 pasta dish. In a small bowl, combine diced bacon, bread crumbs, butter and parsley. Top mac and cheese with bread crumb mixture, then bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
