‘Gossip Girl’ Creator and Author Thinks the Series ‘Ruined’ This Main Character

So many fans fell in love with the book series Gossip Girl, so it is not surprising that the television show was so large. Featuring actors like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Matthew Settle, and more, the show held entertainment for six seasons and viewers are no doubt looking forward to the upcoming sequel series. was premiered in 2021.

Located in Upper East Manhattan, there was a group of teenagers who lived a very lively life and were not afraid to move on. During his years on television, Gossip Girl it couldn’t get enough fans, and it was as if more and more showers were showcased with each new season.

It was told by a mysterious and unknown girl who was notorious for pouring out the mysteries of others, and that is what she did. Gossip Girl beat from the first program. The show was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and it’s safe to say it was a guilty pleasure for more than just a few people.

What is ‘Gossip Girl’ about?

The basis of Gossip Girl it’s very simple and straightforward: It revolves around a group of spoiled socialists as they make their way around the Manhattan elite of the East, living a privileged life and getting anything they could want and more. The presentation largely focused on Serena, a graceful socialist who knows everyone and is envied by everyone.

Serena has just returned from a special boarding school in Connecticut, and no one knows for sure why she is back in the city. Her personality and behavior are different from returning to New York, something no one can figure out.

Drama suddenly runs across the group of friends, including Blair, Jenny, and everyone else, and that ‘s just how they enjoy it. Viewers loved to keep up with the hooks, breaks, and catfights that were always happening during the show’s run.

The character Vanessa Abrams

Vanessa Abrams is one of those main characters in the television show and book series. On screen, she is produced by Jessica Szohr, and was much admired by an audience.

Having grown up in Vermont before finally moving to New York, Abrams had never gone to traditional school before going to college. A recurring character in the beginning, she was able to please fans so much that she was made the main character until she left the show in the fourth quarter.

The character has a romantic interest in her best friend, Dan Humphrey, and struggles a bit to fit in with the rest of the group. Lots of fans of Gossip Girl found that Szohr ‘s character is much more resilient and down to earth than anyone else, just one of the reasons she was so important as she was on display.

So does Gossip Girl creator and author Cecily von Ziegesar really feel that the series “destroyed” Abrams’ character? Apparently! according to ScreenRant, she says: “I think Vanessa was one character they ruined. I think a lot of readers who don’t normally read teenage fiction recognize Vanessa… I wish Vanessa was the way she is in the books a little more. ”

While von Ziegesar liked the way the show portrayed the other characters she wrote about, she feels that Abrams has changed too much. Nevertheless, she was always one of our favorite characters on the show, and we can’t imagine Gossip Girls without.
