Gigi Hadid’s Banana Muffins Are the Perfect Winter Treat

Gigi Hadid spent most of the past year at home like the rest of us. Although the new mother was pregnant and lonely with her family, she found the perfect pastime to alleviate her anxiety and keep going as the days went on.

Hadid has always shown her love of cooking, but her hectic record on runways and in fashion spreads keeps her moving and working more often than not. With more downtime than ever, the model was desperate to share some of her homemade desserts, including her banana mules.

Hadid was desperate to share her scrumptious banana muffin recipe as part of UNICEF’s #UCANLEARN campaign at home. The campaign was in an effort to encourage people to stay at home amid the height of the pandemic.

The supermodel shared her recipe on Instagram, saying, “@halima challenged me to the #UCANLEARN @ unicefusa campaign, where we can all share something for someone else to learn at home during this time you have never seen! ” You may already have the ingredients in your pantry.

  • 4-6 chopped ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Brown sugar 3/4 cup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

To make Hadid banana muffins start by preheating your oven to 425 degrees and fattening your muffin tin. Next, combine the bananas, olive milk, eggs, salt, and eggs in a medium-sized bowl.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon. Once the dry ingredients combine well, create a well in the bowl and pour the wet ingredients into it. Use a wooden spoon to put everything together until it is together. The mixture should still be lumpy, so be careful not to mix too much.

Divide the mixture into your butter mill tins. Place the muffins in the oven and reduce the temperature to 375 degrees immediately. Bake the banana muffins for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow to cool for five to 10 minutes before removing from the tin. This isn’t the first delicious taste Hadid has shared with her fans, and we’re sure this won’t be the last.
