Former ‘House of Cards’ Star Kevin Spacey Drops His Annual Christmas Video

Kevin Spacey has a YouTube channel and is not afraid to use it. From scandal involving the first House of Cards the actor first made headlines in November 2017, he has largely been living under the radar.

But his videos do not seem to be his rule, a tradition that many consider to be “strange” because of the allegations against him. He has just released a new one on YouTube that has made him move on social media.

Kevin Spacey was facing charges of sexual assault

After news of Spacey’s sexual misconduct broke out in late 2017, Netflix stopped production House of Cards and afterwards resolved to proceed without it. The last season of the show was shot by Frank Underwood and was based on his wife Claire, played by Robin Wright. The climber also stopped another Spacey project before it started.

Anthony Rapp came forward in 2017 and accused the actor of making sexual advances to him when he was 14. In 2018, Spacey was charged with sexual assault in court in Massachusetts in a separate case involving a young man who was 18 at the time of the incident.

Between 2017 and 2019, investigations were opened in the UK and various US cities following a number of allegations of groping, disclosure, or sexual assault against Spacey.

In one case, the victim died before the case went to court. For the Massachusetts case, the victim assaulted his fifth Amendment Rights and prosecutors dropped the charges against the actor under pressure.

Spacey has a history of annual videos that are in character

After being let down from House of Cards, Spacey released his first video on the topic of a vacation in the person of Frank Underwood. On the recording, he spoke to the audience in the South Carolina character’s accent and suggested that people want him back on screen.

“Oh sure, they may have tried to separate us, but what we have is too strong, too powerful. After all, we shared everything, you and I. I told you the deepest, darkest mysteries I had, ”Spacey came on tour.

“I showed you just what people can do. I surprised you with my honesty, but I basically challenged you and made you think. And you trusted me, even if you knew you shouldn’t. So we are not done, no matter what anyone says. And besides, I know what you want. You want me back, ”he said.

A second video fell in 2019 and was for “more good in the world.” He can’t make words right, but he was shorter than year one.

Spacey’s 2020 video focuses on mental health

Shameless and fearless of releasing another themed piece of content of his holiday season, Spacey released a new Christmas Eve message. In “1-800 XMAS,” he starts talking like Frank Underwood but then turns him off.

Spacey addresses the challenges of 2020 and talks to those suffering from mental health problems. “At this time during this holiday and beyond, even if you are not feeling it, there are people out there who can understand and help you, as you are not alone.”

He urges people to seek help and will offer words of comfort to anyone who is struggling. A number for the Suicide Prevention Oral Line is included at the end of the clip.

As social media users talk about his latest video and the insult he feels, Spacey’s Twitter account reminds us that his last three posts have been on Christmas Eve to enhance his video calls. Not many of them are funny.
