‘Fixer Upper’ Star Joanna Gaines Probably Isn’t Upgrading Her Christmas Decorations in 2020

Joanna Gaines’ successful show on HGTV may no longer be the first, but the first Upper Fixer hospitality is still considered the undoubted queen of home décor. While her husband Chip usually did the demo and build for all of their projects, Joanna was always in charge of designing, staging, and making everything look good. pretty.

And her design skills extend to holiday decor as well. Her millions of followers on social media wait every year to get a glimpse of Joanna’s Christmas decorations throughout the family farmhouse.

But instead of updating and expanding its products every year, the Upper Fixer alum keeps them exactly the same. Especially during a year like 2020.

So many people love to shop for new holiday décor or discover new fun holiday traditions. But Joanna prefers to keep everything around Christmas the same year after year, without promoting or changing these habits even a little bit.

“I rarely get excited about a new holiday recipe or fashionable ideas for decorating the tree,” Joanna wrote in a 2018 article for her Magnolia Journal. “I’m not looking for ways to resume this season. Instead, all I want to do is collect the same ingredients for the same cinnamon rolls I’ve cooked on Christmas morning for as long as I can remember. ”

The Christmas decorations of the Gaines family are always the same

Year after year the Gaines family put out the same Christmas decorations on their tree. They could certainly give new ones a chance, or create themed trees in every room, but Joanna is firmly grounded in the nostalgia factor. She is even fond of the best worn and faded décor products.

In the Magnolia article she wrote, “I want to decorate our tree with the same decorations we run and every year. Our tree could not have been complete without the tender offerings of the children. And while the Popsicle-stick picture frames have cracked over the years, and the pictures in them have declined – it just makes me love them more. ”

There is little chance that the Gaineses will change normal practice in 2020

With the rage of 2020 and a global pandemic, people are adhering to traditions of nostalgia now more than ever. One way to do this is to keep as many routines as you can – as Christmas decorations the same way they do every year.

But even without the coronavirus (COVID-19) going on, Joanna would seem to stick to the same decorations she would always use. So far the media maid has not posted any pictures of her interior to her social media accounts in December. Instead, she has been promoting the new Magnolia Network, which is scheduled to launch in 2021.

However, he does not take photographs to prove that the Gaines family seems to be sticking to the same holiday traditions again in this busy year. Joanna made it clear in the past – holiday trends may come and go, but her traditions with time – honored will hold around for decades to come.
