Wonderful beasts 2 immediately. However, perhaps none looks as desperate as losing the actor who plays their main villain.
Johnny Depp, who played Gellert Grindelwald, will be leaving the series. Depp going is a real problem for the story because it’s a prequel.
The story just can’t write out Grindelwald because it’s part of the canon that Albus Dumbledore won’t win for another 18 years. How to do it Wonderful beasts 3 deal with leaving Depp?

How will the Grindelwald franchise show without Johnny Depp?
Wonderful beasts 2 ending on a cliff with Grindelwald escaping. Worse, it’s part of the Harry Potter a legend that Grindelwald did not lose until 1945 with Dumbledore (played in these films by Lagh Jude).
They have no choice but to kill someone else and become a superhero as they do in many series. Grindelwald’s character has to stay, but Depp leave the production. So how can the character continue without the actor? There are two main theories.
One solution is Marvel. In iron Man, James Rhodes (the character who would eventually become a War Machine) is played by Terrence Howard, but for Iron Man 2, they repeat the role with Don Cheadle.
How did they explain a different actor playing the same character? It was not. Marvel assumed that people would accept another actor playing the role except for this tiny wink at the audience; they do not mention the change in actors.
Yes Wonderful beasts redesign the part and not to mention? It is possible but unlike, Depp looked very special as Grindelwald, and it would not be easy for the audience to accept a new person for no reason.
The other solution involves magic. Wonderful beasts 3 will be located in the Harry Potter a hemisphere where magic is real. Grindelwald spent most of the first film Farrell played, explaining that he used a transformation spell.
They could remodel Farrell in the part and say that Grindelwald used the spell again to question himself. It even makes sense since he was the most notorious criminal at the time Harry Potter hemisphere and would want to travel incognito.
Scamander learned to remove the transformation spell in the first film, but even if they do not want to use that tool, there is a potion called the Potion polyjuice it can be like you no matter who you want. One of the most interesting reasons is to see Wonderful beasts 3 perhaps not for the plot but to see how the writers deal with this sticky problem.
