Taylor Swift has had a busy year. Less than five months after the release of her 8th studio album, folklore, she surprised fans again with forever. Evermore it is Swift ‘s ninth studio album and has 15 original songs in the standard edition as well as two bonus songs on the deluxe edition. Swift, again, collaborated with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, William Bowery, and Bon Iver on the latest album, so what are the main differences between the two albums?
On December 10, 2020, Swift announced its social media pages forever to millions of followers. True to Swift’s nature, the “coney island” singer had been giving up subtle ideas about the album for months. Saying that she and her colleagues could not stop writing songs, she shared some of the inspiration behind the record of a folklore sister, forever.
Taylor Swift is announcing her new album, ‘evermore’, on Twitter and Instagram
“To try and put it into bigger poetry, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklore forest and we had a choice: turn and return or travel further into the forest of music. this, ”wrote Swift forever. “We chose to walk deeper in. I have never done this. In the past I always treated records as special moments and moved on to designing the next one after your album was released. There was something different with folklore. In doing so, I felt less like I was leaving and more likely to return. I really liked the escapism I found in those imaginary / non-imaginative stories. I really appreciated the ways in which you welcomed the drafts and the tragedies and the great stories of lost and found love in your life. So I kept writing them. ”
While forever can be seen as a continuum as folklore, there are many ways in which the records differ. While folklore more fundamental in reality, forever he seems to live in more of an imaginary world than his older sister. Aaron Dessner also shared the ways in which he felt the records were different, giving fans an insight into how a writer / writer would look on the records.
How are Swift’s latest songs different from those on ‘folklore’?
“These songs are weaker and cheaper, sometimes in strange signatures and darker scenes, but very much in line with what we started with. folklore, ”Dessner shared about it forever air his Instagram page. “I can’t begin to thank and respect Taylor – I will never stop reflecting on her boundless talent as a singer and songwriter and storyteller. It has been a lifelong experience to work so fast and so wildly with her. ”
It is interesting to hear how records have been seen from the people who had a hand in creating them. I wonder if Swift fans would agree that they found the songs forever be cheaper than those on it folklore. Either way, Swift seems to have another blow on his hands. And while she has made the access to a third secret album, timber, we’re sure she’s getting more things up her sleeves for fans.
