Drake’s Residual Checks From ‘Degrassi’ Are Not as Big as You’d Think

There are many actors out there who could go all their lives living off their residency studies alone – from Will Smith and Martin Lawrence to Miley Cyrus and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. But that is not true for everyone.

For Drake, it seems like it will only bring about a small change for his job Degrassi: The next generation, even though it was quite large in time. In a throwback post, he showed a leftover check that wasn’t nearly as strong as you’d expect.

What is Degrassi: The Next Generation? ‘

A spinoff in the Degrassi franchise, Degrassi: The next generation is a Canadian teenage drama following the lives of various groups of students at a local high school.

Drake played Jimmy Brooks, a wealthy child run by a group of big friends that included the rebel Spinner Mason, social chameleon Marco Del Rossi, musician Craig Manning, and “it-girl” Paige Michalchuk. Jimmy had hoped to pursue a basketball career in the future, but his dream was shattered when a school shooting left him paralyzed from the middle down.

The show aired in 2001, gaining audience praise and similar publications Weekly entertainment and The New York Times for the honest picture of events that teenagers experience in everyday life. Degrassi: The next generation ran for 14 seasons before being folded in the summer of 2015.

It’s wild to see what he brings in, with the comments he made about his work and income from the show. Before that, he said Complex that he and his family helped financially when they were “poor, as they were broken.”

But again, he said there was “not much money when you break it. There is a season of Canadian television under the tuition of a teacher, I will tell you that. ”
