Dolly Parton one of the most iconic country singers to ever live, and we can’t forget that she dabbled in Hollywood as well. The star has talked extensively about her working relationship with the heart of the Burt Reynolds film. Parton made it clear that she would only choose film roles that she thought would be a goal as well. Back in 1980, she said Rolling Stone the reason she chose to do it 9 to 5 did she think the script was great. “That’s why I was so picky – I hadn’t found a script that I thought was good enough, ”she said. “I was amazed at how little talent there is among Hollywood writers. ”

Spy House and did you not see me and kiss Burt? I was makin a joke, and I grabbed it – I’m not going to miss my chance to kiss Burt Reynolds. ”
As well as more kissing, Parton said “there’s no way” she could do sex scenes. “I’m talking about love scenes,” she said.
Both chewed frequently
Although Parton and Reynolds seemed eager to work together, their fights remained. “Burt and I had our little arguments and small spats,” she said, respectively Women’s World. “But we were as honest with each other, as are Kenny Rogers and I. We had no secrets from each other, we couldn’t fool each other. ”
Reynolds kept Parton in a special place in his heart, too – although he still joked enough at her expense. “I got to work with her for as long as I was finally looking at her face,” he said in a 2015 BBC Radio program.
When Reynolds died in 2018, Parton had nothing but good things to say about him then as well. “Burt and I were a good boy and girl, and I was very sad when he died – we were very similar,” she told the Everyday mirror. “But he has not been in good health for a long time so I hope he is resting in peace. I’m sure it is. In the last years of his life he had difficult times. We were like brother and sister. ”
