Dolly Parton Has Repeatedly Turned Down Guest Judging ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ For Over a Decade

RuPaul has changed the world of drawing – and pop culture as a whole – by RuPaul Draw Race. The Emmy-winning reality show is now in its thirteenth season, with several other series around the world. But despite that global wonder Drag race has grown, there are still celebrities who prefer not to appear on the show, including country music legend Dolly Parton.

Dolly Parton and RuPaul’s fun friendship

Even though Dolly Parton never showed up RuPaul Draw Race, the two images have a normal relationship. In December 2020, RuPaul conducted interviews with Parton for Marie Claire where they talked about their careers, wigs, and much more.

RuPaul asked Parton if she wore high heels while she was cooking, and Parton replied truthfully that she would never take them off.

“My heels are always high. Isn’t it? ”Asked Parton. RuPaul said no, saying clearly, “It’s like what we do, but I will take everything away. ”

“Well, no,” she said honestly. “I always have to be ready – ready on the street, I always say. I need to keep my clothes going and my hair ready. ”

“You’re a drag queen,” she went on to tell the Drag race guest. “[Wigs] they are like suits for you. This is my own life. I am a living drawing queen. You decorate them every now and then, but for me, I love the wigs and I wear them almost every day. “

“Just to let everyone know that we have asked Dolly Parton for eleven, twelve, thirteen years,” Visage said. “At the end of the day he’s recording, and it’s a very long day for those people. ”

Visage went on to say that the show has asked several other gay images to appear on the show and that they have been denied. “We ask Cher, we ask Madonna, we ask Liza, we ask Dolly,” Visage said. “We ask everyone, and registration is always a conflict.”

“It took years to get Gaga, but we got her,” Visage said.
