Diane Keaton Became a Single Mom to 2 Kids in Her 50s

Diane Keaton is unparalleled in Hollywood

according to curriculum vitae, Keaton has been a well – known actress since the 1970s, when she starred in several Woody Allen films. One of those movies, the image Annie Hall, she won an Oscar in 1978. She went on to star in some famous films in the last five decades, including the Godfather franchise, Reds, Baby Boom, Father of the wedding, and Club First Wive.

At 74 years old, Keaton has continued to work consistently and gain a good reputation for her acting. She has been able to choose roles that draw attention to issues facing women as they age, such as in romantic comedy. Being a mother in her 50s

She said being a mother helped her become a better person. “It made me feel completely self-sufficient. I am an actor after all. I had no one to tell me how well I was doing, or whether I was doing it right. ”

Diving into motherhood may not be an unusual time for most people to choose, but Keaton makes it clear that children are the most important people in life. ” The love of my life is my children and my mother, ”she explained. “I don’t feel like I need one. Don’t get me wrong, I love men… [but] I have children and my work. That’s fine with me. ”

But despite how happy she was in her life, Keaton seems to have had second thoughts about whether she went about parenting in the best way.

She doesn’t think this is the ‘best situation’

While she clearly respects her children, Keaton has also admitted that it would be better if she had companions in raising them. The Daily mail she said she thought it would be better to have someone by her side.

“As a parent, I give everything I can,” she said, “but I think it’s in the best position you need to have for one.” Dexter and Duke are now adults, and they seem to be doing well, despite how much their mother may have regretted the home she gave them.

Despite being in her 70s, Keaton does not show that she is slowing down. She even talks about reuniting with her constellations from Club First Wive for a new film, Family Jewels. She was never one to spend her life with other people’s timelines. It was a surprise, but unlike her, to have two children on her own, later in life.
