The selection may be over, but the old team of Dancing Moms still dealing with backlash on social media. There seemed to be a divide between the original dancers and their moms based on who they supported in the 2020 election. While Nia Sioux, Maddie Ziegler, and Chloé Lukasiak all indicated that they were voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker threw the backing behind Donald Trump.
Although Vertes was not old enough to vote in the 2020 election, she and her mother were not shy about supporting Trump for President. Fans first learned that Vertes was supportive of the former TV star when she shared a photo of homemade cookies to her VSCO account. One of the cookies was decorated to say Trump 2020 and some Dancing Moms fans were quick to share that they were disappointed with Vertes ’political beliefs.

But Vertes wasn’t the only shooting member who hated being a Trump supporter. Kalani Hilliker also received a backlash from fans and friends alike when she backed Trump on Election Day. “Whoever you vote for, use your voice and vote !!! Hilliker wrote on her Twitter page asking her followers to vote. “You’re right !!! # Trump202020. Hilliker then said that no matter who won the election, the country had to unite. “At the end of the day we all have to come together as Americans no matter who wins.”
Vertes immediately showed support for Hilliker’s tweet and fans began to question whether there was another OG Dancing Moms members of the team were also Trump supporters. There was a ton of speculation that Paige Hyland and his older sister Brooke may have supported Trump as well and simply not supported him publicly. Hyland has even suffered hateful messages with fans accepting that she is a Trump supporter. But Hyland finally put those rumors to bed in a a recent live video on Instagram.

Although Hyland isn’t in the spotlight as much as some of her Dancing Moms castmates, she still has very healthy social media following. On Instagram alone, the Pittsburgh native has 3.4 million followers and she sometimes goes live and communicates with them. In recent life, a college student made it clear enough that she was not a Trump supporter.
“I do not support Trump,” Hyland told him Dancing Moms fans. “I didn’t vote for Trump and I literally look at those comments and laugh because I hate all the time about being a Trump supporter and I don’t even – I don’t even ‘support Trump like that… ”Hyland said. Hyland’s boyfriend also encouraged fans to “Stop DMing Me and Ask Me,” to whom Hyland voted.

“Yeah, Jayvon literally gets comments every day like‘ Why are you separating him? She’s a Trump supporter, ” he said Dancing Moms shared alum. “And it’s just like ‘Guys try to stop you. ‘”Hopefully Hyland’s statements will be enough for fans to stop speculating about who she voted for. At the very least, they may leave their sweetheart out of it.
