Chrissy Teigen is one of the most famous people on social media, and she sometimes gets criticized. Nonetheless, the celebrity chef uses her platform to inspire and motivate others. In a recent post, Teigen shared that she has stopped drinking and is solemn after a year of loss.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend suffered a heavy loss this year with the death of their third child
In October 2020, Teigen took over Instagram in an emotional role to share the loss of her third child. Earlier, Teigen was in the hospital for bleeding.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain that you will only hear about, the kind of pain that we have never been before,” she wrote. “We could never stop the inflation and filters that were needed to be given to our baby, despite bags and bags of bloodshed. It was not enough. ”

The couple chose to name their young son Jack. Teigen shared several images of her in the hospital, including one of her baby cradling through tears and her husband, singer John Legend, kissing the baby. Another Teigen bullet appeared lying in the hospital bed with an oxygen mask and Legend holding his hand lying beside it.
Just two months earlier, the couple announced that they were pregnant in a music video for the same “Wild.” Together, they have two children: Luna, 4, and Miles, 2.
Chrissie Teigen says she stopped drinking alcohol because it embarrassed her and her family
Teigen is definitely a social butterfly and has a nice party, good food, and wine for a pair. But this year amid pandemics and the loss of her baby, Teigen may have put in too much effort and seen herself spinning down. In a featured post on Instagram, Teigen shared that she had had enough after years of drinking during the day.
She revealed that a friend had given her a book to read, entitled, Quit Like a Woman: The radical non-drinking option in a culture viewed by alcohol. From there, Teigen says she embarked on her sobriety journey.
“I was made to make myself in front of people (I’m still ashamed), tired of drinking the day and feeling like s— before 6, unable to sleep,” she wrote.

This is not her first time sharing her experience of drinking too much. Brand Jasmine reporting, in 2017, Teigen told a media group that she “could not just drink one drink. ”
“I got used to being in hair and make-up and having a glass of wine and I would bring in a glass of wine when I had one before the awards ceremony, and then a lump at the awards ceremony,” she said. “Then I felt bad for doing sort of ** myself for people I really admired. And that feeling, there is no such thing. ”
In addition, Teigen admitted that she felt ashamed of her husband, saying, “You feel terrible. It ‘s not a good sight for me, because [my husband] John [Legend], for anyone. ”
Teigen says she’s four weeks sober.
