Chris Tucker has a good relationship with Michael Jackson. A lifelong fan of the Thriller hitmaker, he became close to Jackson after his retirement, occasionally visiting and spending time with him at Jackson’s famous Neverland Ranch.
Prior to that, Tucker was famous for his views on the late superstar, especially in 2001 Rush Hour 2 when he karaoke on “Don’t Stop Until You Get Enough.” That particular performance, according to Tucker, had even received a response from the singer.
‘Rush Hour 2’ was a big blow
The sequel to 1998’s Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2 is a buddy-cop film that follows the unscrupulous critics of Lee (Jackie Chan) and James Carter (Chris Tucker) as they try to break the cycle of international crime.
Although not as successful as its predecessor, it was still an enjoyable film that followed several award nominations and eventually grew to over $ 300 million against a $ 90 million budget (via Mojo Box Office).

On the way, Lee and Carter stop at a bar, where a man puts on a bad scene of Jackson ‘s hit in 1979. “What in the world is going on here? Carter asks, clearly tempted. “Am I the only one listening to this? This guy’s ruining a classic! ”
He’s increasingly humbled by the man’s singing before he runs on stage and takes over, delivering a show where he tried out some of Jackson’s signature moves – including his high image kick. Except Tucker used the wrong foot, kicking with his left instead of his right.
However, it was well-received by viewers, with some calling it one of the best indoor scenes Rush Hour 2. For copyright reasons, we cannot include it here. But there are fragments of the scene on YouTube.
