Carrie Fisher was jealous that Mark Hamill was involved with Alec Guinness in ‘Star Wars’

While Princess Leia asks Obi-Wan Kenobi to help her in Star Wars: New Hope, she never met him in person. When Guinness showed Kenobi, he looked at a holographic message from Leia. However, Fisher and Guinness never got the chance to work together in the same vision. The late actress always told her co-star, Hamill, that she was jealous of his time spent with Guinness.

“She was jealous that I got a job with Alec Guinness, and she didn’t,” Hamill told the panel at the 2017 recommendation about Fisher’s life.

While many actors got the big break by being part of the Star Wars saga, Guinness already starred on a name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when he joined the team. Many fans watched the film because of Guinness. Fisher was the daughter of renowned actor Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. However, that didn’t stop her from looking at other famous Hollywood images like Guinness.

“Alec Guinness gave Mark Hamill 20 pounds to leave,” she told the shop.

She said Hamill asked Guinness too many questions about acting and his career. So the older actor paid for it to close.

“It was getting weird because Mark was something of a movie buff,” Fisher explained. “So [Guinness] he gave him the money to go away. “

Hamill took the money, but not before Guinness signed him, Fisher joked. However, she returned the last part and admitted that Hamill had not asked for autographs; but he probably wanted to.
