Carrie Fisher Once Told Paul Simon ‘I Don’t Like You Personally’ During an Explosive Fight on Their Honeymoon

Carrie Fisher and Paul Simon are on a date for over ten years. During their troubled relationship again and again, the couple decided to get married in 1983. However, they filed for divorce in 1984.

In her 2008 memoir, Alcohol, Fisher explained how she knew her marriage was in trouble before it officially began.

Carrie Fisher lived with Paul Simon for seven years until they were married

Fisher met Simon in the late 1970s. The two bonded for the first time while Fisher fired Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope. She was also in a secret relationship with her co-star, Harrison Ford. according to InStyle, Simon was in a relationship with actor Shelly Duvall when he met Fisher. However, the two of them bonded and dated on and off for seven years. Fisher lived with Simon for most of the relationship.

In December 2016, Fisher died of a heart attack. Before her death, Simon released a biography called Home Finish. Author Peter Ames Carlin shared in the book that Simon and Fisher had a connection that bound them for the rest of their lives.

“There was always something perfect about them as they got along as they got along, how it put her down, how she could make him laugh so easily,” Carlin wrote . “And he loved her, with a fear that made him afraid.”
