A long time ago on a film that was put on “far, far away,” drama broke the set of Star Wars. The film’s three directors, as fans later discovered, were captured in full emotion. Despite chemistry between Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the couple had no date. But Fisher had a month-long relationship with Harrison Ford at the time of filming, which she kept secret for 40 years.
Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were related while filming ‘Star Wars’
On screen, Leia Organa (Fisher) and Han Solo (Ford) didn’t fall for each other until The Empire strikes back. But by then, both stars had long since passed the romance moment. Fisher and Ford – as previously published in her 2016 book Princess Diarist – they had a relationship throughout filming Star Wars. In fact, Fisher said Ford was her top priority at the time.
In 2016 guest view on Ellen DeGeneres exhibition, Fisher shed a little more light on her relationship with Ford. In the conversation, the actress enters her signature. But she says the relationship began after a birthday party for director George Lucas. Apparently, neither the filmmaker nor anyone else on the production was aware that it was happening.
The legacy of the late actor continues with daughter Billie Lourd
Sadly, Fisher died on December 27, 2016, followed by his mother Debbie Reynolds the next day. Both Fisher and Reynolds had delivered prestigious performances at a young age. Decades before Star Wars, Reynolds had its own part in Singing in the water. And even though both stars are gone, their family legacy is still completely intact.
In fact, Fisher is kept alive by daughter Billie Lourd. The actress made her debut album in Star Wars: The army is waking up opposite her mother. In addition, she delivered a prestigious supporting leg in 2019’s Booklet. And in 2020, Lourd welcomed her first child, whose middle name is Fisher after Lourd’s mother.
