At one time, Demi Moore was the most successful actress in Hollywood. She starred in several box office tours throughout the ’80s and’ 90s, making her one of the most famous in Hollywood.
But everything turned to chaos when she married Bruce Willis. Despite their mutual admiration, the Die hard the actor was uncomfortable with his wife’s infertile success. And finally, he admitted to Moore that their marriage would “never work” unless she was a stay-at-home mom.
Bruce Willis swept Demi Moore off his feet
According to Moore’s recently published memoir, Willis was the last gentleman when they met. He almost swept Moore off her feet with the way he courted her, and she admits in her book that she has never met someone so romantic before.
“I have never seen a treatment like this before,” she writes in her book. “Bruce was so brave – In his own strong way, a true gentleman. When I said it was time for me to go home, he offered to walk to my car. He was so passionate about it – as a little boy who didn’t want to miss the ice cream truck. When he asked my number, I felt a wave of schoolgirl flowers. ”
Moore says when Willis wrote her number down, her hands shook. “It was so vulnerable at that time,” she writes. “All the bravado is gone.”
And the real weaver? Willis was on a date with another woman the night he met his future wife!
Bruce Willis wanted Demi Moore to stay at home with the children
One day, she had the unique opportunity to make a film with Robert De Niro. Not surprisingly, she decided to take up the offer.
Willis was not happy with her decision.
“This will never work,” he said, (referring to their marriage.)
“What do you mean this will never work? ”She asked.
“This will never work,” he continued, “if you are off shooting a film. ”
Moore says that what he meant was, “our life I wouldn’t work if I was involved in something outside of our family. “
Demi Moore says her career was a success while her personal life fell apart
In Moore’s memoir, she says that while she was more successful than ever in her acting career, her home life was slowly falling apart. “My professional life was booming,” she writes. “My personal life was painful.”
Fortunately, Willis and Moore are now closer than ever. Despite their divorce in the late 90s, the couple is still co-parenting the three daughters, who are now quite adults.
In fact, Willis and Moore recently joined quarantines as a family. They can be seen on it Twitter and Instagram get a blast, as they dance around the house and hold family paint nights.
