Bey is rising to fame

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is no stranger to achievement, so it’s no surprise that she is now a cultural icon. At a young age, she won many singing and dancing competitions. Then in the ’90s, she broke into the world of entertainment as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé released her debut album that influenced the music legend and expert we know today. As well as being a best-selling music artist, she has appeared in several popular films over the years.

Renowned for her amazing singing and acting talents, Beyoncé is also a proud mother and wife. She and singer Jay-Z tied the knot privately in 2008 and have become one of Hollywood’s most famous couples ever. While they try to keep their family life private and allow fans to enter according to their conditions, it doesn’t keep them from harsh criticism.

At times controversial for the star

From controversial half-time Super Bowl performances to inspiring dance moves on stage, Bey resists criticism in everything she wears and does. At the head of the Super Bowl in 2013 with former Destiny Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, they put on a fan-pleasing show. However, not everyone was happy with the choice of low-cut leather clothing and some sexual displeasure made by the singer. Even in addition to Beyoncé’s revealing outfits, other situations have caused a great deal of controversy.

One of them is her music video Creation, which sparked many pro and Beyoncé talks. The video is a rather political and personal look at Black American identity and knowledge. While Beyoncé is not the only artist who encourages and supports social justice movements, like Black Lives Matter, she and Jay-Z have been looking back from their position. The influential star is famous for standing up for what she believes in and is not afraid to speak out against racial injustice. More recently, she introduces black history and African tradition with the release of the visual album Black is the King.

Why Beyoncé is banned from Malaysia

While it is not uncommon for celebrities to be banned from other countries as a result of their public actions, it may come as a surprise to some in Beyhive that Beyoncé is one of them. Malaysia banned Beyoncé from ever touring, performing, or entering, according to Cosmopolitan. With the country’s strict Muslim leadership, he believed Beyoncé was too encouraging for Malaysia.

Beyoncé was scheduled to perform in Malaysia in 2007, but due to inappropriate clothing concerns caused by the ban, she had to postpone her performance in the country. According to a BBC report, “Female performers at Malaysian concerts are required by government regulations to cover from shoulder to knees, with no cleavage appearing.” As Beyoncé is known for her confidence and sexual accomplishments, it is understandable for the ban. However, it is surprising that it is such a tight and permanent ban to the celebrity.
