Ina Garten there are amazing dessert recipes that are simple to make but so amazing to serve to guests. One of them is her bread dessert dessert, which she’s taken to the next level with a sauce that literally takes seconds to create but feels so supple: crème anglaise.
Contessa barefoot bread desserts are a ritual piece
During a program of Casteisgte consessa: Cook as pro, Garten explained that her “terribly decadent” bread dessert is a delight to the public. “It doesn’t seem like that, but when you make a really good one, everyone wants to have you,” she said.
Instead of just using bread chips or cubes, she uses both to make the texture right. “Taste is very important to me, of course, but texture is just as important,” she explained.
Brioche is her bread of choice. “If you raise the bar on the bread, you really change the quality of the breadcrumbs,” she said.
Once round, place the baking dish inside a larger pan for a hot water bath to ensure the dessert cooks evenly.

“Here’s a trick for crème anglaise. Frozen vanilla crème anglaise ice cream is frozen, ”she said. “All you have to do is disinfect ice cream and, voila, you have crème anglaise.”
