Leading Nigerian celebrities are listed on ‘100 Icons from Africa.’
The list was made by Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Omotola Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele-Bello, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mr. Eazi, among other Nigerians.
Also on the list was the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
According to Forbes, the list has been curated from Hollywood exports and Grammy artists to award-winning ideas that can save the world.
They also said that the list is a way of “identifying those with influential ideas, innovations, and role models who have helped Africa grow over the past decade. ”
Forbes wrote on his official Twitter account, @Forbesafrica, along with the list, “This is also a way to celebrate those with the award-winning ideas of the African continent and the growing influential role models Spelling Africa over the last decade. ”
Forbes described Burna Boy in the publication as one of the greatest and most successful African artists on this continent.
While Genevieve was described as the trailblazer of Nollywood.
