ASUU: Popular rapper, Illbliss blasts Buhari govt, those responsible for eight months strike

Well-known Nigerian rapper Illbliss on Saturday called for those responsible for the eight-month strike by the Universities Academic Staff Union, ASUU.

Illbliss said Karma would visit everyone who was in a power situation that allowed the ASUU strike to go down or eight months.

The rapper was responding to reports that ASUU could end the ongoing strike, following the union’s most recent meeting with the federal government.

The Nigerian government had recommended N70bn to lecturers as contributions earned and universities revived.

Amidst this promise, reports have surfaced that protracted business activity may soon be postponed.

In response, Illbliss lamented that Nigeria was a ruin for paying less attention to its education sector.

In a tweet, the rapper wrote: “Ruined country. A country with zero respect for education, it took eight months for the Federal Government and ASUU to call off a strike.

“Do you realize how many productive months you would criticize for these undergraduates? Shame on this country. Karma visits those in positions of power who have allowed this to happen. ”
