American rapper, Lil Wayne breaks silence on Donald Trump’s presidential pardon

American rapper Lil Wayne has finally thanked former US President Donald Trump for the presidential pardon.

Trump had offered President Wayne a pardon in his final hours as President of the United States.

Wayne accepted his Twitter treatment Thursday to thank the former president for acknowledging that he has a lot of responsibilities.

The music star added: “I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to offer to my family, my art and my community.

“I would also like to thank @bradfordcohen for working so hard to give me another chance. Love! ”

DAILY POST reminds us that Trump issued 73 pardons and sentenced Wayne to 70 more people on the list in an official White House statement released Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Wayne has not yet been convicted, after pleading guilty in December last year to carrying a loaded firearm while traveling on a private jet.

Many of his contemporaries consider the 38-year-old to be one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation and often cited as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
